Performing live nightly at weddings, private functions, corporate events, birthday partys, pubs, bars and many small venue's in the trendy suburbs of Clapham, Fulham, Islington, Putney, Wandsworth & Wimbledon to the shadows of Canary Wharf & St Mary Axe (The Gherkin) and the financial district in central London.

The Hares live music duo UK are a very versatile act, playing fast-paced & upbeat roof-raising gigs or much more chilled live lounge sets depending what best suits your venue, wedding ceremony, reception or event. We can also offer The Hares wedding band adding an extra guitarist and percussionist to our set up as either a trio or 4 piece band. We play afternoon and evening sets and regularly play more than one event in the same day.

The Hares live duo have also performed across Europe and are open to contract offers to perform at ski resorts, on cruise ships & all holiday season destinations.

Our Dress Code

We dress smart or smart/casual, depending on how formal or informal your event is. Please mention your preference during the booking process. Our usual dress code is black/light shirts, ties, dark jeans & shoes.

We have a large & varied repertoire to suit many styles of audience & function.
We can always play chilled or upbeat renditions of many classics. Although we dont recommend clients take total control of which songs we play, we usually recommend that our clients pick some of their favorites from our set. We will then base our sets around that. We find this has worked best with our previous clients. We play our sets four times a week, giving us the experience  o gauge in which order is best to play them to keep people up singing & dancing all night.

DJ Option

Our DJ option covers your music from beginning until the end of your evening function or event (based from 7pm-Midnight) although longer timings can be negotiated during the booking process. We are experienced DJ's at Weddings and Parties, so you can have confidence we will make it a night to remember. Our iPod’s are loaded with over 5000 classic songs from 50’s, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's 00's name the tune and we probably have it or we can download it for your event. Alternatively you can create your own play list on your personal iPod and we will drop the tracks in throughout the night. We ask our clients for a list of favorite artists & songs and we will make sure they are played as much as possible during the evening. Included is our ‘Vango Diamond’ disco lights to fill the dance floor and ensures you have the complete entertainment package for your function.

Our Requirements

 

Your First Dance

We can learn a specific live song although we now charge for this as it takes up much of our time and costs us to use rehearsal space. Per track we charge £50.

Alternatively we can play the track over our system and will download it for you at no extra charge.

We find it works best to start your first dance just before the live set and a second dance usually encourages people up onto the dancefloor. We then burst into our first set from there.

Our Arrival & Set Up Time

We will usually arrive 2 hours before we start our live set or DJ music depending upon which you have booked. We will always be set up & ready to start on time. If traveling at great distance from our London address we will probably arrive much earlier.
We will need to know when we can gain access to the room in which will hold your evenings entertainment. We can set up in 15 minutes as a duo or between 30-60 minutes as a full band.
